Orange Shirt Day at HHE - Click to watch the video!

This week, students have been learning about Residential Schools and talking about why we wear orange shirts. Even if students did not have an orange shirt, it is our thoughts and actions that matter.

HHE Students created paper hearts and planted them along the front sidewalk today. Our heart garden got a little wet, but the sentiment was there. We remember and honour residential school survivors because Every Child Matters - Chaque Enfant Compte.

The hearts will remain on display until Monday. Stop by and visit our heart garden along Heritage Drive or enjoy this short excerpt from the video we created and shared with classes. Thank you to the 4/5K French Immersion class who performed and sang the Cree song featured in our video.
