Welcome back to another school year at Heritage Hills Elementary! Bienvenue à tous!

This coming Wednesday, August 27 from 4:30-6:00 p.m., we have our Meet the Teacher BBQ. We hope to see you there!

Welcome Back & Meet the Teacher BBQ

Our Welcome Back & Meet the Teacher BBQ is the day before school starts. On Wednesday, August 27, from 4:30-6:00 p.m., families are invited to come meet their teacher(s), check out where their classroom is, drop off their school supplies (this way they don't have to haul it all the first day!), and enjoy the BBQ hosted by our amazing parent groups (School Council & FAHHE). Please bring your refillable drink containers. It will be a great kick off to the new school year!

A reminder to kindergarten families- please do not bring your school supplies until your orientation day.

At the BBQ, you will also be able to meet our Mental Health Capacity Builder, Kastyn Konieczny. She will be set up in the foyer with a spinning wheel. Stop by to say hi and to spin for a prize. We are so excited to have her in the school this year. Welcome to HHE, Kastyn!

First Day Details
Welcome to a great year at HHE! To help our first day run smoothly, we have a few details to help us all out.

Door Entrances
On the first day of school, there will be class names painted on the sidewalk to help the students know where to line up. This map will help you know which door to go to to find their line up. Students can also look for staff in their vests to help them out. 

Parking Lots
For those new to our school, you might be wondering about drop off and how it works. You can check out our parking lot map here. At HHE, we have two parking lots. The one on the east side is for busses only during drop off and pick up. We are a bus transfer, and it is important that we don't use this parking lot during these times. The 2nd parking lot is the lot that you can pull into for drop off and pick up. It is a busy place (especially on the first day)! When you pull into the lot, you will take the first right to drive through the drop off lanes or to find visitor parking further down. The center of this parking lot is for staff parking. Please avoid using these stalls. We have some staff that start later, substitutes or training for staff across the division where they need to have parking stalls. You can also use the street for parking if you want to walk your child(ren) to their door.

Welcome to HHE, kindergarten families! We look forward to you joining us. We just wanted to remind you to bring your child to their scheduled time for their first day of school. Your first full day of kindergarten will be on September 4 or 5. Welcome to the pack!
